Dr. Nicole O’Brien has been using TCD in children with acute neurologic illness and injury as both a clinical and research tool for more than 15 years. She serves as co-director for the Pediatric Neurocritical Care Research Group, TCD subgroup. She worked with key stakeholders to develop the utilization guidelines for TCD in pediatric critical care.
